Digital Economy and Transformation of Working time: The Guarantee of Digital Labor Rights

Abstract

This paper analyzes the transformations produced in working time from the perspective of the digital economy. This research work attempts to highlight the need to continue guaranteeing labor rights in the field of the digital economy. The current context is characterized by the progressive and incessant application of new resources and technological innovations in work activity. The new forms of productive organization are affected by the protective function of limiting the working day and compliance with minimum rest periods. This debate must lead to a new paradigm in the regulation of working time. The objective is that we continue to maintain the protective legal nature of working time. We are faced with a great challenge for society, in which Labor Law is called to deploy its protective function.
