Abstract
El presente artículo busca comprender la inclusión a la seguridad social de las personas adultas mayores desde el riesgo social de dependencia funcional. Las partes que comprenden la presente investigación abordan una sección conceptual; esto es, quiénes son aquellas personas adultas mayores que son dependientes funcionales. Posteriormente se aborda la importancia de la seguridad social y su relación en materia de riesgos sociales con la dependencia funcional, desde el marco jurídico hasta los retos actuales en esta materia. La metodología que se propone como hilo conductor es la deductiva. Finalmente, esta investigación busca visibilizar la importancia de proponer un enfoque integral de incorporación a las personas adultas mayores con dependencia funcional que aún no cuenten con ningún tipo de seguridad social dentro del sistema de salud por ser el medio idóneo para atender, prevenir y garantizar sus derechos sociales en esta etapa y condiciones de su vida.
This article tries to understand the inclusion of older adults in social security from the social risk of functional dependency. The parts that comprise this research address a conceptual section; that is, who are those older adults who are functionally dependent. Subsequently, is discussed the importance of social security and its relationship in terms of social risks with functional dependency, from the legal framework to the current challenges in this matter. The methodology that is proposed as a common thread is deductive. Finally, this research seeks to make visible the importance of proposing a comprehensive approach to the incorporation of older adults with functional dependency who do not yet have any type of social security within the health system as it is the ideal means to care for, prevent and guarantee their social rights at this stage and conditions of their life.
