Resumen
El presente artículo pretende poner el foco en el papel de la contratación laboral en Estados Unidos, en concreto en el nuevo fenómeno que se está produciendo con el reciente impulso al movimiento sindical en este país. Para ello, analizaremos cómo ha evolucionado el movimiento sindical desde sus orígenes hasta hoy en día y finalizaremos con el resurgir del movimiento sindical, que ha impulsado en los últimos tiempos la contratación laboral y, por tanto, el empleo; en concreto, en los denominados “estados posindustriales”, aquellos donde la industria, sobre todo la automovilística, juega un papel destacado en la contratación y el empleo en Estados Unidos.
This article aims to focus on the role of labour recruitment in the United States, specifically on the new phenomenon that is taking place with the recent boost to the union movement in this country. To do so, we will analyse how the union movement has evolved from its origins to the present day and we will end with the resurgence of the union movement, which has recently promoted labour recruitment and, therefore, employment; specifically, in the so-called ‘post-industrial states’, those where industry, especially the automobile industry, plays a prominent role in recruitment and employment in the United States.
